Basic Configurations

To change any of the configurations in PortoBox, first you have to make sure you are connected to your PortoBox network and then login to the admin panel .

Login to Admin Panel

Open a web browser in your current device e.g. your mobile or desktop machine and then Type in the address bar http://10.0.1.1 and press Enter.

Notice

The http://10.0.1.1 address is the default IP of the PortoBox. If you can't see the admin login page, it's likely that your device's IP has been manually changed. In that case you have to find the default gateway of your ProtoBox router.

Follow one of the steps below based on your platform to get the IP:

  • For Windows OS, click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt then type ipconfig | findstr /i "Gateway" and press Enter. Next look for a line in the output that looks like Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.1.1. In this example, 10.0.1.1 is PortoBox IP address.
  • For macOS, press ⌘+space then type terminal and press Enter to open your terminal application. Type the following command netstat -nr | grep default and press Enter. Next look for a line in the output that looks like default 10.0.1.1 UGSc 50 46 en1. In this example, 10.0.1.1 is PortoBox IP address.
  • For Linux OS, run the following command ip route | grep default and then look for a line in the output that looks like default via 10.0.1.1 dev eth0 proto static. In this example, 10.0.1.1 is PortoBox IP address.

Finally, login to the admin panel by entering root for both username and password fields, and then clicking on LOGIN button.

Notice

If you couldn't successfully login to admin page and encountered the message "Invalid username and/or password! Please try again." after a few tries, the username and/or password of your device has been altered. Follow this instruction to reset the current authorization details of your device.
